Thanks for checking out Balm + Honey Farm's CSA Share program. Sign-ups for our 2019 season are coming soon. There are no Shares available until that time.
Here are a few FAQs to consider before clicking on the Share options below:
Q: What is the "Farmily"?
A: The Balm+Honey Farmily is a group of locals, neighbors, and farm friends (our farm + family = Farmily) who are serious about buying and eating healthy, local, clean food. Members of our Farmily pay up-front for portions, or "shares", of our vegetable, herb, and flower harvest while getting first dibs at our raw honey and specialty harvests.
Q: What does "CSA" Mean?
A: When you purchase a Farmily Share, you are participating in what is commonly known as a CSA- or a Community Supported Agriculture program. Joining a CSA means that you share in your local farm's harvest and share both the rewards- and the risks- of eating locally. Trust us, it's worth it. While you don't know where the food you buy at Walmart comes from, how it was grown, or how it's been handled, you do know that when you buy one of our farm Shares.
Q: When does the CSA start/end?
A: We hope to offer two CSA seasons in 2019, subject to land purchase/land availability: Summer (May 15 - July 15)), and Fall (October 15 - December 15). Our CSA seasons for 2020 will run on this schedule: Winter- January 15 to March 15; Spring- March 15 to May 15; Summer- May 15 to July 15; Fall- September 15 to November 15.
Q: Can I get into the CSA program or purchase a CSA Share today?
A: We're sorry to say it, but no. Our Spring/Summer 2019 Shares aren't available for purchase today.
Q: Is there a waiting list to get on your CSA?
A: Yes, there is! To get on our waiting list for newly-available CSA Shares, or to be the first notified about next season, please email your name and phone number to: email@example.com.
Q: What exactly is a "Share"?
A: Our Shares consist of weekly or bi-weekly portions of seasonal vegetables, herbs, and flowers straight from our chemical-free, nothing-but-natural fields. Each box contains 6-12 produce items that will feed 2-4 people (Regular Share) and can be taken home and immediately eaten fresh, cooked, or frozen or preserved. Half and Family Shares will also be available in 2020.
Thank you for considering Balm + Honey Farm. We appreciate your support!
